It is a marine protected area of 30km2 which is located in the North-East of the island on the French side.
The action of the Nature Reserve is to protect the ecosystem of the island, namely coral reefs, mangroves, seagrass beds, ponds and coastal forest.
The Nature Reserve publishes a quarterly magazine “Le Journal”.
